We all know that the yearly ritual of a new edition brings mixed emotions; will they have changed much, will the bug that pervaded the last version recur, and, of course, the biggest question, will the game have moved on with the times?
The answer for Knockout Kings 2001 is, in short, yes. Along with a mixed bag of new features, the usual installment of classic boxers (augmented by the introduction of female boxers) is surrounded by lavish and vastly improved graphics. With even faster gameplay, this is a boxing fan's dream--all you wanted and more.
Choose from varying styles of boxers and enter the career mode. End each round with the advice of your corner man ringing in your ears. Watch your face and get your cut man to iron down the swelling. All this adds yet more realism in this bone-crunching fist fest.
